Boloco (Berklee) (Boston, MA)

Score: 7 / 10    Reviewed by: iskeith3

Boloco runs a good establishment, but their classic burritos are weak. While they do have a little bit more spice than Qdoba, the overall quality of the burrito is seriously lacking. It's still an enjoyable meal, but some things are missing. The guacamole is just as bad as Qdoba's, which means it tastes like water. And the size of the burrito, in comparison to the price, is not exactly the best deal around. On top of all of this, here's the kicker: they don't make fresh tortilla chips daily. I ordered chips and guac, and what did I get? No-flavor guac and tortilla chips from a packaged bag. If I'm ordering chips and guac, you best believe I want some fresh tortilla chips.

While their classic burrito (which is the heart of this debate) still isn't at the top of the ranks, it's by no means bad. And they are a well-run business, complete with friendly bonuses (such as a free birthday burrito) and environmentally-conscious eating-ware. And their smoothies are delectable. So at least they've got that going for them.
