I used to have an office on Jessie Street about 100' from this taqueria. At our company, we referred to Balazo as "the white man's burrito". The real deal is found at Taqueria Cancun half a block away but Balazo still makes a good burrito. If we had clients over, we would usually take them here over Cancun due to atmosphere and seating availability.

Balazo's pollo asado is good, as is the carne asada. I feel like their meats are a bit dry or over cooked at times though. My primary gripe with this place is that the prices are steep by SF taqueria standards but they skimp on the "super" options like cheese, guacamole and sour cream. Even with the pico de gallo you have to ask to get a second scoop.

Seating is relatively ample here although the work crowd fills it up at lunch. They take credit cards and include chips with your order. There is a standalone salsa bar where you can self-serve a variety of salsas. I normally stick with the salsa verde or pico de gallo here.
