Hell yes. So bomb. You will not be disappointed, unless you are a wimp when it comes to spiciness. I have been here many times and it's always so good! Their salsa is top-notch amazing, the meat is near-perfect, and did I mention how good the salsa is? I'd take this place over La Taqueria down the street any day of the week.

I have heard rave reviews about this place from hipsters, locals, and even the Guardian. Thus far, I have given it tow tries, and neither one has blown me away.
It is decent, to be sure, but not much more. They have dominated the Best Vegetarian Burrito category in the Guardian's year end poll for the last decade or so, yet, their vegetarian burrito tastes like a thousand others in this city. Beans, rice, tortilla. Nothing special.
And I feel like that applies to most things on their menu: certainly, nothing to frown at, but nothing to get excited over, either. Everything is solid; nothing more, nothing less.
If you want to play it safe, hit up Cancun. But roll the dice and walk a block in any direction. Chances are, you can find something just as good or better.

this location is the best of the can-cun franchise. this is up at mission and valencia, where they meet, not down by valencia and 20th, like one of the other reviewers mentioned. the mission and 19th location has gone way down hill since i moved to the city over a decade ago. it was excellent back then, but after going to this location (mission/valencia) last night, i deduce that everyone who used to work at the 19th location back in the day must've moved to this one. the best thing about can-cun is that they don't steam their tortillas. whoever came up with that practice should be steamed themselves. but, no, at can-cun they put them on the grill, so they get all crispy, rather than soggy. another advantage of the mission/valencia place over the mission and 19th location is that there weren't a bunch of thug types hanging out in front. even though i live a block away from 19th and mission, i will go to this location from now on when i'm craving a vegie burrito.

While I agree with Marko’s assessment of Cancun, I must say that I have noticed a decline in the girth of their burritos over time. That being said, their salsa verde is to die for. Seriously, it’s all you need. Also their rice and beans are both muy delicioso, and they prepare the tortillas by grilling them on la plancha, and not using one of those stanky steam boxes. !Que sabroso! All in all, if you’re in the Valencia/20th street area, this is the spot to go. Vamanos.

I'm surprised no one has reviewed this place. Maybe there aren't enough internet geeks living around here! I must say, this place gives La Bamba a run for it's money. I'm sure it was loaded with bacon fat, but that's what makes it good. It had some big pieces of ripe avocado as well, and the whole burrito was lightly grilled after wrapping to give it that tiny extra bit of crunchy fried goodness. The burrito also comes with chips and salsa and is a great value for the ~$5.00 burrito. I'm a disciple at the Church of La Bamba (in Mountain View), but I will definitely question my religion after coming here.
