The outside of this joint claims it serves "healthy Mexican food". This statement is quite a contrast to what's experienced inside.

The first thing to notice was that the entire menu was in Spanish (a few items had English translations). Luckily, I know most of the terms after these many years :-). The second thing was the large selection of meats offered. (Not that I, as a vegetarian, am impressed by that, but simply that it doesn't strike me as particularly "healthy".) Most of the people during lunch there seemed to be Spanish-speaking workers. So, it's definitely authentic.

I ordered the burrito vegetariano, hold the cheese (no queso) and sour cream (no crema). It arrived in a basket wrapped in foil; no chips nor salsa. (Yes, no salsa.) The burrito filling consisted of whole pinto beans, rice, iceberg lettuce, and salsa fresca. Of course, it was fun ripping off the foil and chomping through this thing. It was pretty tasty, but it became a problem towards the end. The tortilla got particularly moist and became mushy.

It was good, but not outstanding in any way.
