I pulled into Santana's with a growling stomach and excited anticipation of trying a new burrito place. The drive-thru line was long for the parking lot size (3 cars?), so I walked into the nearly empty restaurant and hastily ordered a chicken burrito. Amusing myself flipping through the jukebox while my burrito was under construction, I noticed that it took at least five minutes for that first car to move through the drive-thru.
The burrito arrived and I grabbed a chair at the lone outside table. I unwrapped the burrito, and the tortilla was fresh and hot. A one word description of the innards is brown. Tortilla, refried beans, brown rice, chicken. And cheese. The salsa was spicy and flavorful, but I was hoping for a bit more...color, I guess. And maybe it could have been jucier. It was tasty and satisfying, but could have been more so. The portions were adequate -- not glutonous, but enough to prevent you from ordering a second. Price was quite fair ($4.25).
Overall, I give it a "pretty good", but certainly not memorable. Next time I'll bring raised hopes and try a California Burrito, but for now I have to give it a 6.
