The salsa fiends who run Guadalajara and opened up their second spot in early 2007 right in the heard of San Francisco's burrito central. It was a bold move; a look at our map shows something over twenty burrito joints within seven blocks of this location. It doesn't matter. This place just might be the best of the bunch.

I've been eating here for some time. It is super, except for tonight. The Wednesday cashier under-rang my order and the order of the person after me. I think you know what that means. She netted over ten dollars in two minutes. I should have confronted her. I won't be back without insisting that the register reflect my purchase.

This was a pretty decent burrito.
Never mind that I couldn't finish it; that was mostly because I'd just been to the organic donut purveyor down the street.
I ordered a super carnitas, but I really came here for the salsa. They do have the habanero salsa here, although I was unable to determine if it also contained mango. It's spicy, but not as much as I had hoped (the "secret-menu" habanero sauce at Los Charros is about as spicy). It was tasty though, as was the guacamole-infused verde salsa.
Not much not to like here. I will be back.

As a vegetarian, I found this place to be a bit disappointing after other burrito joints I've experienced in S.F. The Vegetarian Burrito (no cheese, no cream) came wrapped in foil filled with guacamole, whole pinto beans, rice, and salsa. The burrito was nondescript. The salsa fresca at the salsa bar was very good, but not enough to overcome the bland burrito.
My brother Chris had a grilled chicken ranchero burrito, and he thought it was very good, a little salty, though. It also had pinto beans, cilantro and guacamole. He said it was a lot better than New Hampshire burritos(he lives there).
