Okay so I wrote this big fracking review and forgot to post it after previewing it. So here it is in a nutshell:

La Corneta is a really nice place in Glen Park. Bright, colorful, and clean, i find a lot of similarities between it and Pancho Villa. Whatever your feelings about Pancho Villa, they'll probably apply to La Corneta. To me, that means some fairly tasty food, but not the best the Bay Area can offer.

I live pretty close to La Corneta and I wouldn't even walk to get this burrito. Don't get me wrong the burritos are really good, well seasoned, but its way over priced for what you get. Me personally I think that lettuce and vegetables cooked with the rice is disrespectful to mexican food... I'm not latino, but at all my latin friends homes, THEY NEVER COOK a burrito with lettuce and vegetables... Despite the lettuce the place is really nice, but super hard to find a parking spot... Not my favorite taqueria's but not the worst.

Oh my god! This is easily the best burrito I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and try this place out. Get anything with pollo asada...simply wonderful. Be warned that there is always a long line here. I even experienced this right after they opened in the morning. I used to go around 4pm when the place was empty for the most part. Soooo good! One of the reasons Im pissed I left the city was I cant go here anymore...

Glen Park almost doesn't feel like San Francisco. It's what might be called a cute little neighborhood by someone my grandmother's age. It does have a BART station, and right down the street about a block away from the aforementioned BART station is a taqueria that feels definitely SF.
La Corneta is BUSY as these places go; there was a line nearly out the door even at 2:30pm. I don't know if that was the late lunch or early dinner crowd (for me it was a really late breakfast). It was easy enough to find a seat after I'd ordered, though.
I placed an order for a super al pastor, and was taken down the burrito assembly-line (I generally do not prefer this style, as steam tables are always suspect). Service was as quick and efficient as it could reasonably be given the masses of people queuing for their mid-afternoon meal.
I got my burrito and went to a table. Since I had a train to catch (see above re: BART station), I ate quickly. Perhaps too quickly. Other than a minor quibble about the steamed tortilla (which held up reasonably considering), I had few complaints. They do add lettuce to the supers here, but fortunately this is not to the detriment of other ingredients. The burrito really didn't make much of an impression on me, though... until I was nearing the end of it, and I suddenly realized that I was eating one of the greats. It was even almost spicy enough.
Next time I stop in, I will attempt to see if the experience can be extended by eating more slowly.

One of the best burritos in the city, without a doubt. Their catering is superb as well. Stop by for dinner, or have them cater your party. The parking can get a bit difficult as there are many different places to eat in Glen Park, and you might even consider taking BART since it's very near the Glen Park station, but whatever you do, don't miss this place. You're not going to be sorry.

Good, large vegetarian burritos and terrific salsa. However, I like the Mission Branch better. I think the food is just as good there and it's less crowded. Also, everytime I go to this location, I order the same thing, yet they charge me a different price every single time. I think it's because I get a Tofu Baby Burrito, no cheese, no beans, with avocado--so sometimes they treat it as a Super Baby Burrito and other times they only charge me for avocado. I can't really figure it out since it's different every time. I asked once, and the cashier was pretty surly with me. I never have this problem at the Mission branch.

I'm a burrito fanatic, and La Corneta is one of my absolute favorite taquerias in SF. The menu is amazingly broad—it'll take you months to try everything. My personal favorite is the salmon: always fresh and lightly seasoned, it works great in a burrito and is *amazing* in a flour quesadilla. The chicken mole (one of four different types of chicken) is also superb, but is a bit rich for a burrito (better on a taco). They also have great prawns (either garlic or spicy). Finally, I *love* their salsa verde. I drench it over everything I order.
For some reason, the Glen Park branch doesn't write down your order, and so tends to sometimes mess up large requests. If you are there with several people, have everyone order their own.

This is my favorite taqueria in town Their seafood is the best in the city. Prawn or fish burrito is my personal favorite. Their salsa verde is exceptional. For whatever reason, I never had any issues here with the carnitas like I've had with the one in the mission. But the seafood is the reason to go here.

This is the best burrito in San Francisco! The place is clean but too crowded. I love this place so much. The place is designed to allow you to have your food customized to you tastes. This is important me as a relocated San Diegan. I can get my burrito sans beans and rice. They also make one of my favorite burritos, the Chile Rellano burrito. This is a bean burrito (I always get refried) with a whole chile rellano inside. Delicious!

La Corneta in Glen Park is... and I will not retract this statement... the best burrito in the city of San Francisco as of this writing. I have lived in the city for only 6 years, however I have eaten my fair share of burrito's here and abroad. They seem to get everthing right in the way of the modern burrito, and it tastes like heaven. La Corneta is a clean and 'somewhat' healthy taqueria using fresh ingredients cooked to perfection and most importantly assembled with love.
The crew at La Corneta are always friendly and take the extra few seconds to make it the way you like it. Sure any burrito pureist could make an argument for lack of authenticity at almost any taqueria now in operation. Burritos are double wrapped in foil, spicy or mild depending on your choice of meat and salsa, and are quite large if you order the "super". A more than satisfying "super baby" burrito is also a good option if you don't want to gorge yourself...as we all usually do at a good taqueria.
I would say the pinnicle of flavor in burrito form would come from a "super" steak and prawn on a spinach tortilla with everything. You will not be dissappointed. No I don't work for them, I just love their food. The "salsa roja" is fantastic and usually just right in the way of spicy.
Amazing burrito!! and I have eaten at many, many taquerias.
P.S.- don't confuse this location with the one in the Mission.

Since we moved back to SF a few years ago La Corneta (http://www.lacorneta.com) has been our favorite Taqueria. We were gone for 15 years, and where we were the only Mexican food was Taco Bell, and that was 30 miles away. To understate it to the extreme: We were craving SF burritos.
We (me, my wife and our 2 kids - now 9 and 13) have eaten at La Corneta at least 50 times in the past 3 years. I recall being disappointed only once - the other 49 times ranged from very good to drop dead great.
The place is clean and modern. by 6PM there is a line that reaches all the way to the back - where the cash register is, and it doesn't let up until 8 or 9. You can call in your order if you prefer. When at the back of the longest possible line once - a woman I was talking with decided to see if calling in was faster than waiting in line. It was - she had her food in about 20 minutes - it took me 30. I prefer to wait. Like i said - the food is always great, but the women behind the counter change - and everyone makes a burrito differently. I always hope to get the 5' 7" slender woman with braids. She's just the best - and she's the friendliest too. I have to add - I find some of the best burritos come from the new workers - they always make 'em too big - I love when they can barely wrap 'em!
So, they have all the regular stuff. Their carnitas is succulent, their shrimp are tasty, the chicken - both verde and roja are delicious. El Pastor is great - especially if they put it on the griddle and get the oil warm and flowing. The carne asada is good, but I used to eat carne asada at La Cumbre back in the 70s (when they were the only ones making it), so though it is tender and not over cooked - it is not chopped hot when you order - it is from a steam table, so it isn't all it could be - though it is the best steam table carne I know. The tortillas are steamed and steamed perfectly, the rice and beans (refried, whole pintos and black) are all excellent. The veggies are all fresh. What can you say about iceberg lettuce? It doesn't really belong in a burrito does it? Anyway - that and the tomatoes are fine, though the tomatoes are often not exactly ripe. They use good fresh avocados and will add as much cilantro as you want. They don't skimp on the cheese either.
The in-house sauces are FANTASTIC! I love the red sauce, but the verde is like drinkable. I have made a lot of my own salsas and sauces over the years so I have some idea of ingredients, but I don't know what they are doing - if i did I would bottle it and sell it. I get a corn quesadilla along with my burrito, just to scarf with the salsa verde. Ask for some to go!!!! I can't say anything about their salsa cruda (hot or mild) as I haven't had them in years. Well - my family likes them anyway
The burritos are always hot and perfectly rolled. The beans and rice tend to be on one side and the meat (or tofu in my wife's case) tends to be on the other. The Chile Rellano with Pollo Roja mega burrito I had tonight had a gorgeous chile right down the middle. Oh My Gawd! That was one perfect cylinder! I asked for a big chile (because I was lucky enough to get my favorite server tonight) and got it - really it was too big for a burrito - especially with meat being added, but I just have to go for it when I get her.
I generally go with that combo or the carne asada and prawn, or carnitas, and sometimes pollo roja. I love them all. I tend to order extra meat and get avocado instead of guac, so my monster super usually costs about a sawbuck, but my wife's normal super costs like $6 - or $7 if she adds mushrooms. Oh - they also have "baby burritos" which are just a smaller tortilla - perfect for the lesser appetites of my kids - those cost like $3.50 for meat, beans, rice and salsa, and i think they tack on 50 cents if we add cheese to those.
They have a big menu full of tastiness - bowl shaped crunchy tostadas (I remember when a tostada was just a flat tortilla with a pile of food on top of it), tacos, tamales, exceptional quesadillas (you can have anything you can put in a burrito in a quesadilla), dinner plates - the whole shooting match. They have as many meat choices as anyplace and my wife has enjoyed their tofu countless times (ask them to cook up some mushrooms for your veggie burrito too).
I will end by saying that though we choose La Corneta above all others it is not because we don't go anywhere else, we do. We live in The Sunset and work near Hunters Point, so we have a lot of opportunity to eat burritos all over town. La Corneta truly rocks!
