This chain of burrito places has been a focus of intense debate among the Burritophiles. When you take a look at their website's menu, you see only one true burrito on the menu: the Classic. The rest of their offerings run to the, shall we say, post-modern. Nonetheless, The Classic is a burrito by any generally-accepted definition of the term, so a special mission was made to the Back Bay for the express purpose of sampling their bill of fare.

this place is horrible. the burritos are small, the meat is decent, the rice is plain, the beans are canned (or just taste like it), and way to expensive for the amount you get. this place is a serious waste of time and money if you know what a good burrito should taste like. compared to big chain burritos places in boston that i have tried.

It's one thing not to like a place... but to give it a 1 and claim canned beans when it clearly doesn't use canned beans and the food is anything but bland?? Gregory... someone should sensor you - that's a review that helps no readers. i admit - i'm a devout customer of Boloco, and the name change hardly phased me... because their food basically rocks. I spent many years growing up on burritos out West, and their Classic stacks up well ... but i like the variety they offer (that's what keeps me going back multiple times a week for like 4 years now)

I don't know what the other reviewer is talking about. A review of any Boloco can be summed up in one statement: just because you change your name from "The Wrap" to "Boloco" doesn't mean you get to call your fare burritos. The rebranding did not come with more flavor. The food remains a bunch of stuff thrown in a large tortilla. They only have one "burrito" because their core business is not making Mexican food. Bland canned beans are all you'll find here.
