of all the bolocos i've been to, this one makes me the least happy. the food is still delicious, but the employees don't seem to put the same care into making the burritos as they do at other locations. ingredient proportions are often off, and burritos are not always rolled as tightly as i'd like. but that depends on who is working the line, i guess - as i've on occasion had some pretty close to perfect burritos here.

i can't say the classic mexican is the most delicious mexican food ever, but the more original burritos like the teriyaki and bangkok are great. my favorite is still the buffalo with raw carrots and red onion. all of the food is fresh, and kept fresh by cooking new food or replacing cold items multiple times daily.

Boloco runs a good establishment, but their classic burritos are weak. While they do have a little bit more spice than Qdoba, the overall quality of the burrito is seriously lacking. It's still an enjoyable meal, but some things are missing. The guacamole is just as bad as Qdoba's, which means it tastes like water. And the size of the burrito, in comparison to the price, is not exactly the best deal around. On top of all of this, here's the kicker: they don't make fresh tortilla chips daily. I ordered chips and guac, and what did I get? No-flavor guac and tortilla chips from a packaged bag. If I'm ordering chips and guac, you best believe I want some fresh tortilla chips.

While their classic burrito (which is the heart of this debate) still isn't at the top of the ranks, it's by no means bad. And they are a well-run business, complete with friendly bonuses (such as a free birthday burrito) and environmentally-conscious eating-ware. And their smoothies are delectable. So at least they've got that going for them.

Burritos here and at other Bolocos are definitely not your typical burrito, but the flavors are average. The whole chain reeks of insincerity...the "responsible small business" and "food with integrity" thing is already being done, and being done better. Chipotle pioneered food with integrity, Boloco is just on the bandwagon. Food is just OK.

I visited NYC for a concert and Chipotle and Burritoville had everything on these guys.

First, if you go to a place expecting to be disappointed, then you probably will be... you'll be primed to focus on the negative. Boloco used to be call the Wrap, and for who-knows-what reason they changed their name, but I don't think that they've ever presented themselves as a Mexican restaurant. Burritos that I've had here were nothing to write home about, but they were decent. Even though this is a burrito review place, I'll give them an extra half point for the smoothies, which are usually very good.

Boloco doesn't even claim to be a mexican joint - it has one burrito on there called the Classic, and it's good. But i usually get the others... the Buffalo is addictive, as is the Summer. The ingredients are fresh, they have a good variety, they are fast, friendly... what else can you ask for? solid 8. just like in the review of their newbury street location, i don't get this reviewer. I'm from CA too... grew up on burritos. Boloco rocks. Bottom line

Being from San Diego I have reservations anytime I eat a mexican joint. I always expect to be disappointed. This was no exception. The menu really doesn't have anything you would call a "real" burrito on it. Mostly wraps. I call this mexican food for people who have no clue. Not many mexicans live in the Boston area, so you take what you can get. I will have pizza.
