Burritos as big as your head and the place is always crowded, so they must be doing something right.
It's an old indoor/outdoor diner like an old burger place or an A&W so it has an interesting although not classic taqueria ambiance. Sitting on plastic picnic tables on the shaded patio (some might call it "in the parking lot") is nice even on a hot day. There's no shortage of interesting people watching and you'll see a lot of army types from Moffet field and Nasa and the beer is nice and cold. I've never been inside - it's always looked full - but it looks pretty spartan and like the outside might be a bit cleaner...
You can't really see the food as they prepare it like at a lot of places (and I kind of wish I could), but the couple of carne asada supers I've had there came with everything you'd expect (rice, refried, sc, guac, cheese, meat) and nothing that you wouldn't (NO LETTUCE --THANK you, this foul green substance has no place in a burrito--, no radishes or other weird stuff), and like I said, was one of the biggest I've had in a long time. Chips are free and the salsa pretty good (and medium-hot), there didn't seem to be a salsa bar though.
Next time I'm going to ask if they have pinto or black beans, I assume they do. I see no reason to rate the burritos and outside dining at Taco Luna right up with la costena or 3 hermanos (right up the street) or La Bamba (Now, if you want a nice restaurant type environment, this is definately NOT it). I was out the door for under 6 bucks too!

It's been a while since I went here, but there is a reason for that. The burrito was not very good. I seem to remember that it was full of shredded lettuce, akin to a Taco Bell seven layer burrito. It reminded me more of "taco night", ie where mom buys the premade taco shells, chops up lettuce and tomatos, has some grated cheddar cheese, some canned refriend beans and some ground beef with a package of "taco seasoning" thrown in. Not particularly authentic.
