Chipotle Does Something Evil

I'm fairly indifferent to the food at Chipotle, but I've always been a big fan of their sustainable business practices. That's why I'm very disappointed to see this article about their cease-and-desist against Hutchinson's Burrito Guy:
The letter points to the use of corrugated metal siding for wainscoting, paint colors, chair and lighting systems, having the kitchen open to the public and other design features as being too much like Chipotle’s, and will confuse consumers. It doesn’t make an issue of the similar food.

Hello? Chipotle? The guys who designed their open kitchens to be a carbon copy of La Costena? Sending a C&D to a business owned by two hard-working guys about a concept that Chipotle openly copied from local business in the first place...that's just evil, and smacks of an over-zealous, clueless legal department. Frankly, it'd be hard to believe that Chipotle's founders, who to all reports are stand-up guys, know about this. Lay off 'em, Chipotle. Spend your energy trying to better-integrate your ingredients, not with frivolous legal junk.
