"People think of tortillas and they think of tacos or burritos. There's more acceptance of putting international ingredients in a wrap, like a Caesar Salad," he explained.Absolutely right. That's the way people should think. I hold nothing against Brian for trying to expand the wrap market; he's a businessman, and that's what he does. It's just nice to see that he understands where the division lies.
As a sign of the times, the American Tortilla Industry Association moved its headquarters last month from Texas to the nation's capital to better flex its lobbying muscle on issues such as healthy labeling for the whole grain and low-fat varieties, as well as support for small businesses, which still make up a major part of the industry.Cool. By buying burritos, you're supporting the little guy. Down with the Wal-Martization of the tortilla industry!

In March, Discovery plans to open its third factory, in part to meet growing export demand from Scandinavia.Scandinavia? Do they have lutefisk burritos? Is al pastor and aquavit an accceptable combo? I'm dying to know what the burrito scene is like in Norway. If you Google "Norway burrito" one of the results is the lyrics to a Christmas Carol called "O Lutefisk O Lutefisk."
